Ingrid Šírová is the founder of Interiors by Ingrid, based in Macclesfield, Cheshire. A qualified and BIID Registered Interior Designer with 20 years of experience, she creates sophisticated, timeless homes that combine thoughtful interior architecture with beautifully considered furnishings and finishes.
Working personally with each client, she takes time to understand their lifestyle, taste and aspirations. Her projects range from individual room transformations to substantial home renovations in Prestbury, Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, Knutsford and the surrounding areas.
Background & Creative Influences
Ingrid's passion for design began in Prague, where she studied fashion design. This training developed an understanding of textiles, colour, proportion and craftsmanship—
disciplines that continue to influence her interiors today.
After moving to England, she studied interior design at Liverpool John Moores University, developing her expertise in spatial planning, architectural detailing and the transformation of existing buildings.
Together, these creative disciplines inform an approach in which architecture, materials, lighting and furnishings are considered as a whole.
Experience & Expertise
While completing her degree, Ingrid gained practical experience with Uber Interiors, continuing with the practice after graduation. Working on high-end residential projects strengthened her understanding of the process from initial concepts and spatial planning through to specification, coordination and installation.
She subsequently joined Janey Butler Interiors, where she became principal designer, before establishing her own practice.
Today, that experience helps her guide clients through the decisions involved in creating a cohesive, carefully finished home.
