INTERIORS BY INGRID Ltd is the culmination of a journey that began in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. A creative bent and a desire for individuality led Ingrid to study fashion in Prague. The course delivered historic elements charting the use of fabrics over time and an awareness of the influences of fashion and an appreciation of the fad. It also involved the making: the practical elements of fabrics and their conversion to garments. How textiles are best utilised and their effect on a space are critical to the success of her interior designs.
A move to England, and an interior design degree obtained from Liverpool Moores University, saw Ingrid develop the spatial, architectural element of her interior practice. The emphasis of the programme was on the creative adaptation, repurposing, remodelling and refitting of existing buildings, and this approach informs her decision-making process on a project-by-project basis. That spaces work with continuity, fluidity and intuitively is vital.
Whilst still studying for her interior design degree, Ingrid was taken on by Uber Interiors on a part-time basis. This fusing of the theory and practical provided Ingrid with a springboard to success. The principles were being learnt while requiring the application. Uber Interiors – one of the most luxurious high-end design studio in the country – was an exciting, glamorous and transformational first foray into the profession.
Ingrid then joined a small start-up: Janey Butlers Interiors, and under her management as principal designer a successful and substantial design practice emerged. Having been integral to the success of this award-winning studio, Ingrid returned to her roots of individuality, establishing INTERIORS BY INGRID Ltd, an interior design studio based in Macclesfield, Cheshire.

Ingrid is one of the best interior designer in Cheshire. She is qualified and BIID (British institute of Interior Design ) accredited interior designer. She regularly works in Alderley Edge, Bollington, Bramhall, Hale, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Mobberley, Prestbury, Wilmslow and the surrounding areas, including the Peak District National Park.
